What is the difference between

Postby Godzilla » Wed 02.16.2005 1:26 pm

多い and たくさん?? They both mean "many" and one is an adjective and the other is an adverb. Thanks

I tend to think that there are not much of a difference between both of these adjectives except that one is a "i-adjective" and another is a special "na-adjective" that usually uses "no" instead of "na").

「多い人がいる」
「人がたくさんいる」

Both of these sentences mean "there are a lot of people".
