Kanji Handwriting Thread
RE: Kanji Handwriting Thread
normally I just type in a word into the normal keyword entry box.

http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/cgi- ... dic.cgi?1C
Then I click on the radio button next the first word with the kanji I want.
Then I click on the radio button at the bottom of the page "Examine the kanji in selected compound."
Continue.
The different kanji will be listed with all the basic information. On the Right are some links "SOD" If you click on that it takes you directly to the SOD for that character.

Some are perfect but I especially love 音楽家's handwritings. The waving bar in the left of は and round shapes of こ and い. I don't know why but I think they seem artistic. In addition, I can't stop laughing with うんち出た! (childish in the funniest way!)![]()

Wow, your guys' handwriting is alot better than mine. Not even kidding, you can barely read mine. Then again, i am just learning. I'll post my practice doodles when i get a scanner or camera.

Nick, it's 私の名前はニックです。 You need more work on particles.

I feel suddenly compelled to practice my kanji...I never relised how terrible my handwriting was untill now. It looks like I wrote it with my feet!
There are no dumb questions, therefore, they are all of equal stupidity.

remember that your vertical line in SU needs to pierce the top line Nick. Your su looks more like a T than a t

Also, ニックさん, you should try and make all characters the same size (each should "fill" a square of the same size). And your こ (hiragana 'ko') looks too much like a ニ (katakana 'ni') because the lines are straight with no hooks.
For what it may be worth, I think of katakana as cuts made with a sword, and hiragana as drawings made with a fine paintbrush.
Oh, you also forgot one stroke in 名.
