first anime you have watched

My first anime was Noir. Although I watched Spirited Away first of all, not sure if that counts.

Also question: In many anime I have seen, it involves someone wanting to confess their love to another person. Does this actually happen in Japan? Is wanting to declare their love a big thing? Or is it just a typical thing in anime?

Absolute first sailor moon, it came on at like 6 or 6:30 am on weekdays and i'd watch it before i went to school back when i was in elementary school First real anime! Ninja Scroll!!!

Samurai Pizza Cats, way back in the day, when I was just an eager, young 4th grader, was the first of the relatively few animes that I ever saw.

The first anime I saw that I actually knew was anime was either Tonari no Totoro or Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro.

On tv, I was watching Speed Racer when I was pretty young. Outside of TV, my first anime was Love Hina. Saw it on youtube and got hooked.

Remembering that Speed Racer counts, that would have to be my first. umm then sailor moon and outlaw star to bring it forward a few years >_< I don't much care for anime, but i will admit that i LOVED outlaw star.

i remeber when i got teh tape for teh show on my b-day i was so happy. my little bro and I like freaked out, it was funny.
i think i still have that tape somewhere.......... under the huge pile of other tapes in the basement... lol
