Leaving Amsterdam for New York
Hey everybody!
Just wanted to let everyone know that I am leaving my hometown Amsterdam to go to New York for six months! I´ll study some Film and Digital and work and live there. I live 1 hour away from Manhatten in this place called Syville (or Sayville?) so that will be one bitch (not allowed to use that word?) of a commute.
Anyway please wish me luck and ofcourse I won't stop visiting the forums and learning some Japanese while I'm at it

Good luck with studying everybody and I hope one day I will be able to pick it back up.
Until then, a nice goodbye from me to you

Sayville, I think, on Long Island. Good luck! I'm about 2 hours more or less on the other side of Manhattan, reachable by car, bus or train.

Film Academy! Its a sort of pre-study though. 2 months of intensive training in film making and if I pass I can use that sheet of paper (AKA diploma) to get accepted easier at the Film Academy here in Amsterdam.
Good luck with studying everybody and I hope one day I will be able to pick it back up.

Is it the NYFA? I was planning on doing their program in London, then I thought maybe I should do it in LA, then I got sidetracked living in Japan and decided not to go

Talk about sidetracking
.
Yeah it is the NYFA and they have all these establishments around the world! This is the thing I was born to do (making films) so this will really help me a lot with getting there.
I might also get a job at True Entertainment while I am there because I can tell you one fact about this trip:
It ain't cheap

Well, my current plan is to go to a film school in Tokyo starting next April. So I wasn't THAT sidetracked... I just pushed everything back by 3 years.
Good luck, it looked like a fun school from what I could tell.

yeah I only live like a couple of hours away from u in New Jersey...it won't be long till u think of New York just as any other city. After a while it doesn't seem so great and fantastic as they make it seem...

Just reading that part, and you'd think it was actually about Japan.
