This should ease tension in Japan over the male/female succession situation. Though that's taking away from the joy that should be had.

おめでとうございます!

Now that the pressure to produce an heir is off, Princess Masako should be free to become Japan's most talented and potentially effective ambassador. That would be the smartest and most practical thing to do, but then "smart" and "practical" are not two words one associates with the Imperial Household Agency.

It's like a live-action 昼ドラ...
People love gossip.

So, now she can live the rest of her life as a baby factory, trying to increase the birthrate of Japan.

The princess. She can just keep popping children out, because her purpose in the royal household is complete. She can serve society instead of one meaningless family - you know, actually earn the money she gets from tax payers.

now that's just plain silly talk.. someone seems a bit bitter.. now that she has had a boy, she probably won't have anymore chldren.. Besides (playing devil's advocate here) how can having more children serve society? that's shaky ground you walk on, oh bitter one..

I'm pretty certain having a Caesarian section pretty much nixes the baby factory theory.

Besides, she isn't the only one who needs to have some more children. The rest of Japan needs too!

Ok, is the bolded part a shortened form of どうして?

I'm having trouble with that sentence. My "gist" is, Those who are opposed to the maintenence of the Japanese Emperor System don't need to worry about the Japanese taxpayers.

Coco san wrote a shorty so I wen't ahead and gave it a try :) This Wakan program is pretty cool now that I finally have it working......
なるほど。
