JLPT:Missed application deadline

I missed the deadline of September 5th for applying for the test......what can i do......is there any way i can apply for it.....if not can i apply in another country?

The deadline for the JLPT is October 5th or 6th.

I guess it depends on the country. The deadline for my country was September 6th. Where do you live, James Dean?

Thanks all.....done some research myself.....looks like i will be taking a holiday to Los Angelos or maybe Hawaii.....they both have test centres and closing date October 6th......unfortunately i think its impossible to apply now in japan....after the closing date in any country its impossible to apply.....correct me if i'm wrong but i think thats the rule.....for some strange reason i thought in japan too the closing date was the end of september......or it used to be i think......

Schedule for 2006;
Application period from July 3 to September 5, 2006
Test date December 3, 2006
Announcement of test result Mid February, 2007

Late application for 2006 will not be accepted for the increase of applicants of normal period.

Could be they allowed late registration before, but not this year.

I did see the October 5th date on the Los Angeles Center's webpage, so perhaps they are extending the deadline because they don't have an overflow of applicants (like they do in Japan [above info])

Q3 I am currently not in, or do not live in the U. S. but I want to take the test in U.S. What should I do?

As long as you will be able to come to the test site on the test date, you can take the test in the U.S. You may register online or may send a paper application with payment in US Dollars. For online or paper application, visit the 2006 Registration / My Account page at http://www.jflalc.org/index.php?act=tpt&id=23.

Sounds like you'll be fine as long as you register online within the next few days!
