RE: Studio Ghibli boxset
that seems very cheap, only £10 for 19 films. is it because they are made in japan ?
I want to get it but was thinking it might be better idea to buy it from a japan site. but i cant find it anywhere, so, so far its ebay
thanks

This is no official release. Dont buy this Hong Kong crap. Such a Box would cost several 100 dollars. Two indications that one DVD is not original from Japan is that they have Chinese subtitles and are Codefree DVDs. Japanese DVDs mostlikelye have NO Chinese subs(if subs at all) Japan has DVD Region Code 2

If you want to give your Money to "Pirates" yes.
But most of the Ghibli Moves are available on DVD in the US and have Japanese dub+English subs. Just look at Amazon.com for example

also, you shouldn't ever buy movies from ebay, its always(or most of the time fake dvds or pirated stuff. ebay is not really all that good for that much either...

I went to China and I bought 4 sets of DVDs with all the Studio Ghibli stuff on it.. yeah it is pirated. I also have individual DVDs of My Neighbor the Yamadas and Honpoko, and they have English/Japanese/Chinese/Korean Subs with Japanese/English/Chinese audio. The individual ones are just like the original, very nice quality. I gave my money to pirates..

All the Japanese Ghibli DVDs are subtitled in English (at least every one I've purchased)

I buy a lot of stuff off ebay. Just purchased a scanner for $5.50, and my Studio Gibli set that I bought over a year ago, an older one without Howl's moving Castle was $20+SH. There may be chinese subtitles, but they are just another option. The DVDs are not fake, I can't speak for the specific seller, but my dvd's work fine.
Ebay does involve a certian amount of risk, but sellers with lots of sells and good reviews are generally a safe bet, at least so far as them delivering the goods advertised goes.

Of course they work. But theyre not Official. To speak, in this case, Studio Ghibli didntt get a cent for this Box. But youre paying someone who stole other peoples work and now sells it. You could also download the Movies. It would be the same. But without paying People who does not deserve/belong the Money
But that doesnt mean that ebay is not a good place to pay such stuff, you just have to look abit aroud. But if you dont care where for what your Money goes, then it doesnt matter
