searching posts by a certain member
Hello!
Is there a way to search all posts written by a certain member? There have been MANY times when this would have come in handy to me.
Thanks in advance, bye!

I've needed to find threads that I posted before. I'd be happy even if the search function here can find any threads posted ONLY by myself, not by specified someone...
I wish we had the same function as the "other" Forum's thumbs-up icon (About.com Japanese Language Forum) as "interested"... Yeah, probably it cost more than now - just remember only the time when I visit last.

My curiousity forces me to ask...who's posts would you like to see?

I've had to search for my own or coco's posts before. I just typed in the name and started wading through them.

you can cheat a bit if you want to see threads started by a particular user.

Many members', for various reasons. For example, coco-san and Iwark (for very different reasons).

Change the drop down list from "All" to "My"

Yes, but that shows MY threads. How about other people's threads?

change to 'My' and explicitly add the 'uid' of the person whose threads you want to see.
http://www.thejapanesepage.com/forum/su ... &uid=13098
that actually shows you threads started by paul_b within last week (1w).

Great! One more question:
How do you find out someone's "uid"? (I assume that's "User ID"?)

find their name somewhere as a link and hover your mouse over the link and look at the link destination in your status bar. (guess it depends on browser...)

I guess the only way to make the Search of MY posts effective is to implant a marker (such like 放射性同位元素
) in every post. Most likely my user name (shin1ro) to put at the last line. (No wonder but sorry that the search doesn't treat sigs.)
