I have many favourite ones. Now I really like Ai Otsukaa lot though. She always looks cheerful and bright, and also her songs and mv are so cute! ^^

Uhm... My favorite song changes almost weekly, but my favoite singer always is either Gackt or Miyavi. Although, I guess since Miyavi's taking his little break from singing right now...

But since BoA was my first real Japanese music (yeah, I know she's Korean, but I didn't know that at the time lol) I will always have a high opinon of her as well

I really like Johnny Cash , and as for Japanese music...i'd say Koumi Hirose. IMO she has a great voice. Weird combination, isn't it?

God Only Knows by the Beach Boys is great.
I also like Johnny Cash's "Hurt" - the Nine Inch Nails original is very good too.

I don't think there is any way I could pick an overall favorite song or band. However, my favorite band of the last few days has been Xiu Xiu. They're fairly weird, maybe an acquired taste, but give a listen to "Clowne Towne." Perhaps you'd like it.

If we're talking Japanese bands, Mono rocks. Try to find "Halcyon" and "Sabbath" by Mono.

My favorite band overall would be Muse, but my favorite song at the moment is "Cathedrals" by Jump Little Children. It's very simple, but very striking. Really liking Richard Cheese's version of "Creep" by Radiohead, too... I heard it on the radio this morning, got me off to a good start.
