I have a question. I've lost my dictionary, and I need to know the kanji for the word "scorpion". Many thanks. :) Big characters preferably. :)

By the way, there are a number of online Japanese dictionaries, the best of which is Jim Breen's Online dictionary. http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/wwwjdic.html

and if you go here http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/japanese.html and check out the EDICT and NIHONGO FTP links on the left you will probably find dictionary software for your computer (free!) that uses the same database of words. i'm using http://gjiten.sourceforge.net/ on linux and it is quite nice.
