Romanization of Japanese names

I need to translate a lot of Japanese Names to English, anyone where to find a list of such? Thanks

Are you just looking for a system of romanization? I.e., you already know how to read the Japanese kanji/name, but just need to know how to transcribe that into the Roman alphabet?

If that's the case, then realize that there is no strict system. Newspapers tend to use the Hepburn system, but omit any representation of long vowels (Which is why we write Tokyo instead of Toukyou).

You will see, however, many instances where some names with a long "O" will be translated as "OH" (for example, Ohno instead of Ono or Oono).

Academic writing will typically represent long vowels with a bar over the vowel.

I believe you mean that you want to transliterate them.

Wikipedia has good articles on the romanization of Japanese.

As for a list of actual names and their transliterated counterparts, I believe I know of none.
