<- Reinterpret a kanji! ->
When you look at a kanji which you don't know, what do you do? Make up a new meaning! And now, when you look at a kanji you do know, make up a new meaning anyways!
For example:
(character - new meaning, new pronunciation if you want it)
井 - 'tic-tac-toe'
回 - claustrophobia
註 - the act of standing on a chair to reach the books at the very top of a high pile
I just thought this could be a fun little off-topic game... If you want, you can provide the real meaning of the kanji as well. Also, it might be good to use the 'increase kanji/kana size' button located on the top bar of each post... Or, if you have a scroll-wheel mouse, hold Ctrl and scroll down to increase character size.

Sometimes I think that I'm afraid of thinking, and that scares me.

I think it will just confuse people... Why spend time learning the wrong meaning when you can be learning the right meaning?

har har, I don't think that's what the point of this thread was
we're giving new (and innacurate) meanings to kanji based on their appearance
and you don't need to give kana for that purpose either
Dehitay wants to do another one
肉 - box on fire

My favorite kanji which doesn't exist but ought to:
Take the kanji 峠 and replace the left side with 女.
Meaning? "Elevator girl".
