How do I download Japanese Text so that I can view it on my computer? I used to have it but it disappeared. I once went to a website to download it but I forgot where. Where did everyone else download it from? Please help, thanks

In your browser try going to 'view' then 'encoding' then 'Japanese Shift-JIS'. If you don't have it downloaded it should then ask you to download it.

Sorry, I still couldnt find it. But I remember I once went to a website and clicked on a link and then I was able to get the japanese text. Nobody knows where I can go? Please help

What is your operating system and browser? You are talking about viewing Japanese not writing right?

I found out the problem for me: i was using Netscape. Download it when you first come to the site, click install. Make sure you are on windows or something else than netscape.

Im talking about Japanese writing/text. I mostly see little boxes or wierd looking letters

Is the site in Shift-JIS? I thought it was in Unicode...

You could also download the japanese Globalime to your computer. It can be found on http://www.Microsoft.com.

Assuming you're using WinXP

Control panel -> Regional and language options -> Languages tab -> Install files for East Asian languages

If you want to type japanese,
Details box -> Add -> Select japanese

Other Windows might be something similar.
