さん(san), くん(kun), ちゃん(chan), etc.
Hey, does anyone have a list of all the Japanese suffixes/honorifics?
I thought I knew them all, but I was watching an anime earlier today and two of the female characters called the main male character じゅんじゅん(Jun-jun) and まなかはん(Manaka-han) (btw the guy is called Manaka Junpei).
I have no idea what じゅん(jun) and はん(han) mean, like I know what さん(san), くん(kun) and ちゃん(chan) and most others mean and are used for. But I've never seen these two before.
Please help
lol.

じゅん is just repeating his name to make it cute.
はん is the osaka version of さん
There are many others such as
殿,様,氏, etc.
I seem to remember a list floating around the boards somewhere.
Here's a wikipedia link

Oh, wow...that's interesting! So I was half-right, only one was a suffix. Thought so...but I didn't know that さん differed in areas. I thought it was pretty general.

Thanks, I was kinda going mad. I thought I had them all then I saw them and thought "Oh no!! How many more are there?!" lol.
I already knew San, Kun, Chan, Senpai, kōhai, Sensei, Sama, Dono and Tono.
Shi is a strange one...doesn't "Shi" mean death? I mean 天使 (Tenshi) means "angel" and uses 天(ten) the Kanji Heaven and 使(shi) the Kanji for Death. Correct me if I'm wrong, and I probably am.

The し Kanji for death is 死. 使 you probably see quite often in the verb 使う つかう to use.
Also to add to another name ender try adding め。 For example if the person's name is たかし you'd say たかしめ。 Try using that with a friend for a good reaction.

Hmm...I typed in tenshi and that's the kanji it came out with. ごめんなさい。

天使 is the kanji for angel. It translates as "heavenly messenger" and has nothing to do with death (死).
The name suffix "shi" that Harisenbon showed you is 氏.

Moving to "General" as it's really a language topic not culture.

Yeah, a reaction like getting punched in the face.

I'm weirded out by the fact that you could read the kanji, but didn't know what it meant, as well as confusing it with another kanji with the same pronunciation. ..

Yeah, a reaction like getting punched in the face.
If you'd prefer a reaction like laughter try it with a first person pronoun.

Sorry about all this kanji stuff, I only know about 10 kanji (pronounciation and meaning). There are some kanji that I know what they mean, but not how to pronounce them. For example I can recognise the kanji for mountain, but I don't know how to pronounce it.

山 --> やま --> Mountain (noun)
山 --> さん --> 'Mt.' (this is used as a suffix for mountains, like 'Fuji-san,' or Mt. Fuji)
I feel useful!

Concerning honorifics:
Could the character 士 be used as an honorific? <-- (rephrased quesiton to sound less stupid)

Sometimes I think that I'm afraid of thinking, and that scares me.

Harisenbon already wrote the kanji for 氏, perhaps everyone should go back and read his post?

What's that め used for anyway? (If I was getting punched, at least I would like to know why

As would I.
I know you believe you understand what you thought I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
