A Letter to a Penpal

OK, my kanji repertoire thus far is woefully blank, so I will stick to kana (though with IME I could probably pretend to know kanji, I just wouldn't be able to read my own writing). =D OK, here is (my best?) letter to a penpal thus far. I'm sorry, but things will be a bit random in terms of content.

こんにちは__、メールをありがとう。わたしはにほんにいきませんでした。いまわたしはにほんごをべんきょうします。どのだいがくがいきますか。

わたしもおんがくをききます。しゅうまつDeftonesをききました。わたしはべんきょうちゅうによくおんがくをききます。スポーツーをします。ときどきかきにおよぎます。ゴルフをします。とうきにたいて いスノーボードをします。

しゅうまつはなにをしましたか。きんようびにルームマートをくうこうにかりました。きんようびのばんはいざかやへいきました。わたしのともだちもきました。にちようびのあさパンケーキをたべました。C++プログラミングをしました。えいがをみました。えいがはLord of the　Rings: Fellowship of the Ringでした。

What did you do this weekend? On Friday, I took my roommate to the airport. Friday night, I went to a pub. My friends came too. On Saturday morning, I ate pancakes. I programmed in C++. I watched a movie. The movie was Lord of the　Rings: Fellowship of the Ring.

Also, どのだいがく is "what kind of college".

Just preference, I think せんしゅうまつ would be better (last weekend)

I believe this is actually grammatically correct, but it sounds odd to me. I'm not sure why. I would say:
べんきょうしながら、よくおんがくをききます。

ときどきかきにおよぎます。

Is かき here summer? That should be なつ
なつにときどきおよぎます。

とうきにたいて いスノーボードをします。

Ok, I think I figured out where you're getting 夏季 and 冬季 from.
なつ and ふゆ are more common.
たいてい doesn't mean usually in the way you want to use it, I dont' think
ふゆによくスノーボードします。

しゅうまつはなにをしましたか。

かりました is borrow
ルームマート is Room Mat.

Just for the record ・ is not a full stop. It's used for separating katakana words as well as listing alternatives (used like また or あるい)

I'm sorry for writing late. My laptop was broken. Also, University has been very busy. After that, there was Christmas Break.
During Christmas Break, I opened presents with my family and ate Christmas breakfast. Christmas breakfast is eggs benedict and potato pancakes. From there, I went to my grandmother's home to open more presents!
After that, I went with my University friends to Boston. Because it was the New Year, we drank a lot of beer. We walked along the Freedom Trail. It was fun. Now I am back in Ann Arbor.

I think へんじが　おそく　なって is better. You're not apologizing for writing slowly, you're apologizing for a late reply.

I think this is a good place to use しまう: くだけて　しまいました

　それから、大学は　とても　いそがしい　でした。

それに、大学は　とても　いそがしかった　です。 Conjugate -i adjectives rather than the です which is added to them merely to make it polite. それから is "after that", but in your English you used "also", which is closer to それに.

　　それから、クリスマスのやすみが　ありました。
クリスマスに　かぞくと　プレゼントを　あけて、クリスマスの　あさごはんを　食べます。

The comma after かそくと makes it clear that you're talking about opening "presents with my family" rather than "presents and my family." You could also use かぞくと　いっしょに.

Yes, this is a bad mistake for me. My sensee would slap my hands with a ruler for this.

There were several of these. I suppose I was going for the effect of "My family and I always do these things every Christmas." but I suppose the way it was written doesn't really imply that. Perhaps by next Christmas I will be able to explain this more clearly in Japanese. =)
