Kanji game
Kanji game
I kind of came up with a game that uses Kanji, although probably someone else came up with it first and I just happened to have the same idea (it's happened before)
Anyway, this is how it goes:
One person starts by writing down a single kanji and then the next person writes down a kanji that can be used in a jukugo with the previous kanji (please also write the meaning of the kanji along with the meaning of the jukugo). Then after that, a third person writes a kanji that can be used in jukugo with the Kanji that was just used and so on. The game ends when no-one can think of any kanji to go along with a previous one (please try not to repeat things). So an example would be like the following:
日-day
本-book/origin (日本-Japan)
松-pine tree (松本-matsumoto)
and it would keep going with the next person writing down a kanji that could go along with 松。 I think this can be a good way for people to practice kanji, vocabulary and have fun at the same time.
So, let's see how long we can make this work for. I'll start:
今-now

Two muffins were baking in an oven. One turns to the other and says "sure is hot in here." The other replies "AH TALKING MUFFIN!"

bzzzt... 祖 is the kanji in question.
祖先 -- そせん -- ancestor.
(what happens if a compound has more than 2 kanji? can either of the new kanji be used in the next response?)
