pronounciation

hi im new and a beginer to japanese, ive got a lot of different sources for learning but all of these have different ways to pronounce kaji but i dont know which to use, for instance for mother do i use, BO, MU, KAA or HAHA
please help

For mother, if it's your mother, you'd say Haha, or Hahaoya if you're being more formal.

The general word for mother is okaasan, spelled o-[kanji for mother]-san

The other pronounciations you listed are more specific and used in less common compound words.

oh right so they are all right but they are used in diofferent situations, but how do i know which is used for which situations, do you know where can i learn more about this

There are several different ways to say mother. Depenting on who you are talking to. For example. Haha is mother and okasan is what you would call someone else's mother.
But as for BO, MU, and KAA. I dont know where you got those from. I would stick with haha.

Just like in english where we have mom, mommy, mother, ma, mum, mama, etc. The word depends on the situation. You wouldnt ask your boss, "how's your mommy been?" :D

lol exactly.. you just need to find a stie that wil ltell you which words are formal which are common and which are w/e else there is lol or just how to tell the difference between these words.. because you don't want to make a mistake cause you might say some thing considered rude.. pretty much like jinksys said you wouldn't wanna say how has your momma been..
