Yes, Death Note was made into an anime
Until now 4 episodes have been aired in Japan (I've just watched episode 4)

So far it looks pretty good, anyone else here watching it?

Death Note is the best manga I have ever read,through the middle volumes to the end wasn't as good as the beginning.The intersity kind of die down.But it's still great!!!

He's my favorite, L. Yes, I have read all of the manga released in America, and some which has not been (in Japanese...it was featured in the only issue of Jump that I have...)
Honestly, when I heard of an anime release of it, I thought it would be incredibly boring (great manga, but way too much dialogue), but watching the anime has changed my opinion on this. The anime is brilliantly done, which gives it a GREAT effect.
Hey, does anyone know how people in the USA can watch the movie? I've heard rumors of a release, which would be good if it were SUBBED, but I've also heard that they want to make an American re-make, which would make me mad, seeing as it wouldn't have the same actors.

I've seen an unsubbed version of the movie...my Japanese isn't that great but having read the manga helped somewhat, even though the plot differs. L's actor did a great job .

I've heard the anime's going to have 37 episodes...I wonder if they can fit in the whole plot. Though I wouldn't mind at all if the end would be different from the manga :@
