Weird new cult I have noticed

Postby Matsumoto_hideto » Mon 10.30.2006 11:11 pm

Now I doubt they are really a cult but I found it to be very weird.

I just noticed it this past week too. There are these girls that walk around in all black sweatpans and shirt. Baggy Black ones. Its really weird. Not only in my city either. Ive seen them in a few cities over, different ones too. It might not be anything but it was very striking for some reason.

New cult on the rise>!>? maybe.

Ill try to take a picture of them next time I see them.

Has anyone else seen this or things similar to this?

It's not a cult, it's a fashion trend.

Kinda like ganguro, except not creepy scary.

You really should ask about this stuff or research a little before you start saying that people are part of a cult. I mean, you live in Japan. You could ask any one of THOUSANDS of people about this.

It's a 種類 of ギャル.

Similar to the ヤンキー.

I think the ギャル society is hilarious, so I have sort of studied up on it. They often gather in groups of 20 or more near my work and para-para late at night. If I wasn't afraid of getting beat up I'd video tape it.

They're scary! And so aggressive. Have you seen the fake nails they wear??

Well, in my defense (for those of you who don't realize how tough some ギャルs are), there are often a bunch of guys too--the male version of the ギャル! They have grey hair and dark orange skin, and they para para just like the girls.

I just realized you said "para para" and not "pera pera". What does "para para" mean?

"para para" is onomatopoeia for "dance with geeky, jerky movements using the arms only"
