You know, a lot of people on this site are from a lot of places, not just from America or Japan. Just look at the latest member poll.

And btw, when you say America, do you mean the US? Because the US isn't the only American country. What's funny is that this was just discussed in another forum :D.

Two muffins were baking in an oven. One turns to the other and says "sure is hot in here." The other replies "AH TALKING MUFFIN!"

二つのマフィンがオーブンで焼かれていた。片方のマフィンがもう一方のマフィンに向かって、"暑いね”と言った。すると、話しかけられたほうのマフィンは"アッ!喋るマフィンだ!”と驚いた。 :)

I am from the United States.
I find it funny that we are generally referred to as "American", but people in other parts of the American continents aren't. I guess it might be because the US's full name is "The United States of America" and is therefore referred to as just "America" a lot. There really isn't another name for us other than "American", unless you say "I am from the United States".

Looking at the vote there are 73 people from Europe, 6 from South America, 5 from Africa, 25 from Asia and 9 from Australia or New Zealand. So not all people that are intressed in Japan are from (North) America.

Which America are you from? ;)

Are you Japanese or American?

You assume that all the people on this forum are either Japanese or American. :o

How timely your post is after yesterday's thread on stereotypes.

Edit: .... and it is also incorrect to refer to yourself as -chan, -san, -sama etc.
It is also not a good idea to post your email address. I included it in my post just incase the web bots missed it in yours. Expect plenty of spam to naikoruuenzoru@gmail.com

Are you Japanese or American?

I'm one of those weird British-Canadians :) Count me as either or.

it is also incorrect to refer to yourself as -chan, -san, -sama etc

I know people that disagree with that...they're the ones that dress with cat ears and what not.

I always thought it was funny to refer to USAmericans at yankees

speaking of the poll, I'm rather surprised there are more Asians than Japanese tallied in currently.

Septics, for real?

septic
A adjective
1 septic

containing or resulting from disease-causing organisms; "a septic sore throat"; "a septic environment"; "septic sewage"

2 septic

of or relating to or caused by putrefaction; "the septic action occurs at the bottom of the septic tank"

We call USAmericans gringos.
