opinions on US cartoons (just wondering..)

I've heard many threads and long winded speeches about manga(which I LOVE), but what do you think of USamerican cartoons/comics?

Spiderman is probly one of the best developed heros around. X-men has possibly the coolest story. Marvel completely overwelms DC when it comes to style in my opinion. But when you get outside the superheros, stuff like Family Guy and South Park is freaking hilarious. I can't get enough of comedy.

hmmm.... but you know some of our KIDS CARTOONS are very crudely drawn

take the grim adventures of billy and mandy, for instance...

but i guess its probably BECAUSE its for kids(preteens mabey) and based mostly to make them laugh

Nobody mentioned Family Guy, The Simpsons, Futurama and South Park. Those are all great shows too but USA-shows are mostly comedy-series and manga and anime are mostly action, sure a lot have humour in them but very different humour.

That would be helpful of a title! Anyway you got a lot of good (comedy) shows from America. I wouldn't be able to name one american action serie... Recent ones that is. Don't start with that G.I. Joe stuff and Transformers, those aren't good anymore. Bad animation and dumbass stories haha.

I don't really like US cartoons/comics, I'm not sure why though.
But I absolutly HATE what I call American Animes. You know, the cartoons that try and copy the look of Japanese Animes...and failing, badly. They just suck!

Only the Japanese should be allowed to make Animes (not counting US cartoons, the Americans can continue to make them).

DISAGREEMENT!! Teen Titans is cool (the most eastern looking animation I know). That's like saying the Japanese shouldn't make superhero animation. If that was the case, then what about Saiyaman?! 10 geek points for everybody who knows who that is.

Well, Teen Titans is OK, I don't really like it but it's better than the others, but I'm refering to American Animes like WITCH. TERRIBLE!

The Great Saiyaman, alter-ego of Gohan, son of Goku and Chi Chi. One of the last Saiyans alive. From Dragonball Z. 10 geek points for me lol.

I like retro (of course they weren't retro when I was younger.. lol) cartoons.. with random nonsensical themes..
and the Disney cartoon..

has any one seen the show Kappa Mikey? I personally find it very funny. It it uses a pseudo-anime drawing style but clashes it with an "american style" character. There are also many anime references throughout the show. I believe its meant for younger kids but I think anime fans can enjoy it too.
