RONIN

Post by Nexus Lord » Mon 07.04.2005 4:15 pm

a while ago i watched a film called 'ronin' with robert deniro in it.
there was quite an interesting story in it about samurai.
it tells of some samurai (47 i think) who were left masterless and wandered through japan, who all killed themselves in some honourable mass suicide.
does anyone know more of this or of some other similar stories.;)

浪人 rou nin is a masterless samurai but it also has a modern meaning of a student who failed the entrance exam and is waiting to take them again in order to start school.
