1. Miroku! There's just something about a hot, cursed, womanizing priest-monk...
2. Hm... of course, Phantom Dark. Who wouldn't love the gorgeous anti hero?
3. Haven't read it.
4. Have to agree with Jink on this one...
5. Kenshin. The reasons.... do there really have to be reasons?

6a. Sailor Moon --- Seiya / Sailor Star Fighter from the Stars series/season. Not really sure why. Perhaps because he is so genuinely in love with Usagi, and she's committed to another, he just gets trampled all over the place. :/ Everyone needs a Seiya in their lives.

6b. Clamp's 'X' --- also known in the USA as X/1999. Can't say I have a favorite character yet. I didn't know any character names in the english one I read about 10 years ago, and I still can't read the japanese ones I have now... not yet.... muhaha

6c. Ah! My Goddess! --- Skuld is my favorite character. Scathing, nasty, mean, and yet still irresistably charming. Far preferable to Beldandy... yeesh.

6d. Kyuuketsuki Miyu --- I have the original 6-issue miniseries. Larva wins this hands-down. The big, mysterious guardian of the vampire princess, always in a mask, always silent. It is romantic in the true sense of the word. Not in that they are in love with each other (because I don't think they are), but that they act as one entity, and that one would die for the other.

6e. Tenchi Muyo! --- I can't pick one. Sasami is just so cute, and Washu is so cute AND demented. And Ryoko is just a b-- uh... strong-willed woman.... best to point out that I think Tenchi is a loser and Aeka should get shipped home.

6f. El Hazard --- I haven't read the manga on this one, and don't even know if there is one. But, I have seen the 7 episode series (not the OVA). I think it still applies, however... so here goes. I love love love Ifurita. Although, Galus isn't half bad, either.

Hmm. You know, it seems I have a trend here. I like the underdogs... and the bad guys. Interesting self-psychoanalysis. hehe

I've been forced to learn the Japanese names for all of them, as that's all my kids want to talk about. *grumble* I thought they all sounded the same in ENGLISH. In japanese it's even worse.
