Just watched some talk show where they discussed Star Wars, episode three. They butched the characters names so bad, LoL. Darsu Bada! hehehehehe

Agreed. When a word is borrowed by another language, it's pronunciation and writing can be turned into whatever the speakers of the borrowing language desire. The French would have to hurl every time they heard English if they believed that all the borrowed words from French were just butchered copies of their own words. Moral of the story: 片仮名 ≠ 英語。
