Please help Translate Romanji...
Hi everyone!
I just found this page with google search and boy is it great! I have a penpal in Tsuyama City Japan that sent me a card in romanji. I thought this would be easy to translate with the online dictionarys and what not. Boy was I wrong! I simply don't know enough to get past confusing myself. I would really appreciate it if you could help translate. This is what she wrote:
Minasan genki deska?
Watashi tachi ha genki desu
Natsunohana "Asagao" to
kireina oto ga suru "Furin" no
kado ga atta node okurimasu.
Anatano tomodachi Yukiko yuri
Thank you so much for helping me!!!
Kim:)

RE: Please help Translate Romanji...
Warning, my translation skills arent that great...but here I go!
Minasan genki deska?
How is Everyone?
Watashitachi ha genki desu.
We are all fine. (or: We doing good, etc)
natsunohana "Asagao" to kireina oto ga suru "Furin" no kado ga atta node okurimasu.
Something like... "Because of the summer's Asagao flowers and lovely sounds I send you this card."
I have no idea what furin is...my dictionary tells me "adultery", and I didnt think that is what they meant
.
I hope someone with better skills than my own can translate it better....mukade...harisenbon...anyone?

RE: A few fixes~
I'll fix the last few sentences here...
Though some of it was spelling mistakes - that's why jinksys had some trouble translating it for you~
first of all; "furin" is supposed to be "fuurin" - windchime
>Natsunohana "Asagao" to
>kireina oto ga suru "Furin" no
>kado ga atta node okurimasu.
Since I had a card of the summer flower "Morning Glory" with the pretty sounds of the windchimes, I'll send that(/I'm sending you that) [depending on whether they already sent it to you or not].
>Anatano tomodachi Yukiko yuri
From your friend Yukiko
hope that helps~

natsunohana = なつのはな = 夏の花 = summer flower(s),or literally, flower(s) of summer.

夏の花「朝顔」ときれいな音がする「風鈴」のカードがあったので,送ります。
Natsunohana "Asagao" to
kireina oto ga suru "Furin" no
kado ga atta node okurimasu.
This is why I hate Romaji. There are so many ways to write it that it makes translating a pain in the behind.
I had a card with the summer flower "Morning Glory" as well as the "Windchime" that makes a beautiful sound, so I'll send it to you.
