I have noticed, with one of my penpals and with people chatting on some japanese chatrooms, some people but "w" at the end of their senteces... for example
DDRは持ってますよw
I think it might have to do with people wanting to type the "small tsu" like っ, but for some reason just type a w... ( I see lots of people putting small tsus at th end of sentences in chatrooms and emails too)
Am I correct?
w at end of sentence...

RE: w at end of sentence...
the way to type *laugh* is 笑 the short form of this is w.

Harisenbon-san, do you or anyone else have a list of Japanese chat abbreviations? For example in English "LOL" or "BRB", etc. If anyone wants to write up something please submit as an article to be posted. Just an idea.

RE: w at end of sentence...
as well as just a 'w' at the end - you can use as many w's as you want. a common number i see is probably 3 such as 'www' but any more/less can be used of course...
there's also 泣 for 'cry.'
爆!(ばく) Or 爆笑!(ばくしょう) which are the equivalents of 'LOL' and 'LMAO'
i'll post more if i can think of any..

Generally, I think just the kanji are used. The only roman letter that is used is w, I believe. 怒、涙、爆笑とか are normal. 微笑 (snicker) 冷笑(cold laughter), etc.
