View topic - Clay, I have a question about your Kanji Pages...

すずしい：りょう：すずむ - cool (temp)

I noticed that すず are bold but not しい even though its still kind of the same word. And りょう is underlined and part of すずむ is also bold. What do the bolds and underlines mean? Please help because I'd really like to learn Kanji

The bold means the すず is hidden in the kanji. Here it is with kanji:
涼しい. The すず is in 涼.

The underline I think means it is the ON reading (the Chinese pronunciation from when the Japanese incorporated kanji). I say I think because I made those pages years ago. I am now working on moving all of those kanji into the new database:

Once I get most typed in, I will remove these old pages. But I hope they are still useful until then.
