Skateboarding
Hi, i just have a quick question, is skateboarding popular at all in japan does anyone know? thanks.

1) Have decent proficiency in Japanese, enough to get around/talk/read/write.
2) Visit Japan for a week or so one summer.

日本でスケートボード(skateboard)をやっている人はたくさんいますよ。
日本ではX-sportsはとても人気があります(僕も見るだけなら好きです)

The rotunda at my town's train station has the following graffitti in gigantic black letters spray-painted across it:
SKATE OR DIE!

There are a lot of people who skateboard in Japan.
X-sports are very well known (I like them also, as long as I'm just watching)
