This is a cool thing you've showed us. I would like to be able to do things like this, but my PC sucks and it's all dial-up filled with slow evil crunching data.

Excuse an impertinent question, but do you perform basic maintenance on your PC? Things such as:
1. Defrag your hard drive(s)
2. Clean out your internet cache
3. Clean and defrag your registry
4. Anti-virus sweeps
5. Anti-malware sweeps

Okay it's really bothering me how people complain so much about the shoutbox, how is it so hard just to ignore it? It's not like it's in the way of anything...See? Anyone who wants the Shoutbox to not be there can make it disappear.

See, the thing here is that I know the most about computers in my house. So, I cannot asks my parents,"Oh, can you let me get _____?" or,"Can we buy ________?". They are clueless about computers. And I can't go out and spend my hard-earned money to buy special programs and highspeed internet. I know you are not directly asking me that. But ever since we got this computer, it has been this slow the whole time.Mike Cash wrote:

My BFF's pc is REALLY old and such. Ever since her "sort-of-computer-using" parents got Comcast (cable, tv, and phone) their computer has been the fastest thing on earth. Before they had Comcast Internet her computer was just like mine. They even sent it into computer shops, or whatever you'd call them, and it STILL was a piece of junk- until they got the good internet.
I also delete my internet cookies and i search through my old documents and delete whatever that is not needed.
Yeah, I sort of got offtopic.

How I wish to apply the above to other facets of my life....sigh*

It's in the way of user's online. Also, if you're an inveterate reader like me, it's very hard to 'just ignore' text that is on the screen.kanadajin wrote:

You miss the point, dear child. This makes it easier to ignore it because we who choose to do so can prevent it from displaying on our monitors. That lessens the chance that your beloved shoutbox will disappear.kanadajin wrote:Okay it's really bothering me how people complain so much about the shoutbox, how is it so hard just to ignore it? Those who want it or don't mind it can have it. Those who don't can block it. It's a wonderful solution. Or do you think people who don't even see the shoutbox any more are going to continue militating for its removal? Out of sight, out of mind.

Shoutbox haters -_-" I think you all should just make your own TJP called TJP without a shoutbox. Original isn't it

I have no idea who these actors are. I don't like watching movies very much. And I see my dad watch TOO MANY black and white films everyday. I'm so bad when it comes to movie and music celebrities...two_heads_talking wrote:Johnny Cash and a new guitar..Mike Cash wrote:

And I can't understand why you can't get it through your thick skull that we have just made our own TJP without a shoutbox.
Good Lord, man. Find something else to be offended about already.

Browsing through addons.mozilla.org always gives me a sense of paranoia. I can't help thinking there are probably hundreds of really useful extensions that I'm missing out on.Infidel wrote:
It took me a bit of work. First I paged through 400+ extentions, then I did a seach for RIP and paged through 130+ extentions, then I did a search for Remove It Permanently and it was the top choice.
In the mean time I installed all kinds of sweet extentions.
But thanks for tipping me off on some good ones. B)
