Dir En Grey 2

Postby keatonatron » Fri 01.05.2007 11:33 pm

For all you Dir En Grey fans in the US, I just wanted to point out that they're headlining a US tour next month. I don't really know why I'm posting this... I guess since they've been so nice to be (invited me to see their show again), I want them to be successful in my home country.

You can find the tour dates and search for tickets at http://warconent.com/tour.php#12.

Dir en Grey's music scares me. Have you met them?

I had never listedn to them before.
I'm about 50/50 on liking what I hear.
Hell, $30 for live music? I'm in.

Guess I shoulda known. If there's a "Dir en Grey 2" thread, there's bound to be an earlier "Keat got hooked up" thread. That's cool; seems like you've had a lot of opportunities lately. It's an interesting video.

Dir en Grey isn't really my kind of music, but I remember hearing a skit on one of their albums called "Message from Dir en Grey" that I thought was really funny. Probably because they were making fun of Gackt. :D

I bet the shows are great, too. Have fun! Will you be getting balcony seats again?

I dunno, it's not a done deal yet. I just got an e-mail that said "We're touring the US in February, and after that we'll be doing some shows in Japan so come see us again!" I wouldn't expect anything less than getting a free ticket and being allowed backstage again, and I know it's no problem at all for them to provide that for me, but I'd feel like a jerk to just flat out ask.

But hey, free ticket > jerk feeling.

Oh, when I saw the thread title and that it was started by you, I thought you were going to say that you would be going to be featured in another video. ;)

I saw them last year at the Wiltern. The venue was pretty small, but I suppose that's good so that most people can see them more easily. Too bad I can't see them this year. It's cool to know that you're still keeping in touch with them though. :D
