It was "The Flower of Carnage" ("Shura no hana") the theme song of the classic revenge-pic, "Lady Snowblood" ("Shurayuki hime"), sung by the film's star, Kaji Meiko.

I enjoy most action/martial arts movies.. even the low rent ones. but japanese music slays me. for some reason the interplay between the music, the action and the "dancers," I get mezmerized..
