RE: For JLPT4 test takers
I wanted to try your programm but I get errors similar to erikN's. First the error "12/4/2006 is not a valid date and time" and after that an access violation.
My guess is that you call some function that requires a date with "12/4/2006" which is fine on any English system but on my German Windows that should be "4.12.2006".

Don't complain to me that people kick you when you're down. It's your own fault for lying there

はじめまして。
どもうありがとございます。
Thank you, it is a great program.
If I make a suggestion regarding updates on the Kanji:
The tab for side C ...
Could it give the On & Kun Reading? , and
The tab for side D ...
Could it provide a few simple Kanji Combinations with the Hiragana & translated meaning?
Thanks again & I hope you aced the JLPT4.

I've got a version that fixes that, I've just been lazy about posting it. I'll try to get around to it this weekend. Actually, there are quite a few updates to it.

RE: For JLPT4 test takers
I finally got around to uploading the new version. You can download it at http://www.digitaldominion.com/tyb/download.php . Lots up new stuff and the ability to create your own vocab. Also, I've decided to make a product out of it, but I'd like to offer it for free to anyone from TheJapanesePage. Give it a try, and if you like it send me an email at "dan at digitaldominion dot com" and I'll send you a registration key.
It installs with the JLPT4 kanji, but not the rest of the vocabulary. I'll upload that tomorrow as a separate download. I'm also going to upload JLPT3 vocab soon, since that is what I'm studying for now. I plan to keep developing the program, so if you have ideas for features or run into any problems, I'd love to hear about it.
You can see screenshots and stuff here:

Cheers!

RE: For JLPT4 test takers
That's a great program! However, I often find myself in this situation: If I see the kanji or romaji, I know what it is. But if I know the romanji or the word, I have no idea except the general shape of the kanji. In the next version, can you implement mouse-strokes to help you write kanji. If you can't, could you flash the romaji or the english word, and then in a few seconds flash the kanji?

Hi Kevin, thanks for the feedback. I think I've already got what you want planned, basically a little window that you can "draw" on with the mouse. Is that what you're looking for?

I posted the JLPT4 vocab file here:

Please be sure to download the latest version of the software (updated just now) or the file won't import correctly. You should be able to just download and run the installer again.
Cheers!

Thank you very much!
