YouTube fun...
I found this on YouTube... it's a JPop song I like (probably called sagaken?), and now that I've seen this video with a translation I like it even more. The song is pretty basic, so it's good listening practice for beginners. Enjoy!

Anyone else have any Japanese related YouTube favorites?
Cheers,
Dan

I don't think Jpop songs, or any songs for that matter, are good for listening practice. Alot of them have incorrect grammar or incorrect usage of words. Some words are just plain missing. I'd rather not learn anything from a song.
Finally!

Maybe not if you're looking to learn textbook Japanese... I just want to be able to understand Japanese media and communicate with Japanese people, so I think the songs are pretty useful.

Wow, that's kind of harsh. You really can learn a lot from a song. Granted, it won't always be perfect, but...
Take for example the 'shika' particle. For the life of me, I read Tae Kim's section on it 398384739874 times and I still couldn't remember it. But then I heard it in DBSK's 'One' song and I was like, "Oh, I get it!!" ("Sore shika ienai" - That's all I can say).
And this song was great, because more than singing, he was telling a story. And it was humourous ^_^

You can learn a lot about 佐賀県, even if you don't learn any Japanese.
I enjoyed it, thanks for posting.
