I have always been extremely confused with こと & よう. I mean what exactly do they do?

Can someone give me some good examples of how they're used?

こと and よう both have a number of uses -- can you be any more specific about this? If you want an extended explanation of all the uses of both of these, a grammar book is going to be better than someone's post.
