Axis and Allies
RE: Axis and Allies
Churchill may wish he had saved his breath exhorting the Brits in those exhilirating speeches when he sees how I manage to flub the war on his behalf.

har har, I do remember the UK and Germany being the biggest pain to play as. In most games I've seen, one of those 2 is the first to die.

Germany usually tries to push into Russia, and as a side mission runs through africa unhindered (hint hint). Actually attacking the UK islands is pretty hard, and other than that the UK doesn't have much territory.

I have the board game of it, haha. It's really big and heavy. props for finding an online version. If playing with Russia, stack all your units on the frontline to Europe and defend against the Germans while the other allies build up forces and attack Germany. Or Japan can make fast moves and take over China and attack Russia from behind. Its all fun and games.

you will definately have to post up how each quarter is doing. does this break the turns down by month, week or year?

Maybe his spam filter marked that email as spam. At least mine did that.

RE: Axis and Allies
As I said, I have Dickensian working hours. I got stuck at work last night and didn't get to come home at all. Fortunately, that is not a common thing. First thing I did upon returning this evening was to log in and make my pathetic first move.
I'll continue to make that the first thing I do when coming home, and will also try to check to see if it is again my turn before going to work again (typically around 3 a.m. Japan time), so depending on how others do in the evening, I may sometimes manage to get in a couple of turns per day and not drag things too much.

Did you get an e-mail? It seems like sometimes it fails to notify of my turn like it should. Luckily you can log in and check the progress of your games at any time.
It's Lego's turn now, we're almost through with one full round! Things should move smoothly from here (at least we'll know everyone can log in).
Also, I started a 3-man game with Debu and Karelhof. Karelhof hasn't made the first move yet, though.

Hmmm, I didn't received any email informing me of my turn. Luckily I just checked status of the game on their page. It seems as a good idea to check game progress from time to time.

I didn't get a notice either. I thought about installing the taskbar notifier thingy, but I have enough crap competing for space down there as it is.
