武蔵でござる

This is really a Kanji question but since I'm pursuing history I placed it in this forum. I know the legendary "Miyamoto Musashi" is written with the following characters: 宮本武蔵

However, although I could make a well informed guess, it would be great if someone could confirm the characters in his "full name," (Shinmen Musashi no kami, Fujiwara no Genshin.)

I believe Fujiwara refers to his family inheritence?

名字は宮本、また新免、通称は武蔵、本姓は藤原、諱は玄信である。幼名は辨助（べんのすけ、弁助、弁之助とも）、号は二天、また二天道楽。著書『五輪書』の中では新免武蔵守藤原玄信を名乗っている。

とWikipediaにあります。
新免(しんめん)武蔵守(むさしのかみ)藤原(ふじわら-の)玄信(げんしん)。

私にもその"inheritance"の使い方は妙です。多分、「藤原は名字」という意味でしょう。
