Jukugo Question
When studying kanji i study the symbol its meaning and its readings its stroke order does do i need to know all the jukugo that are on the page or is it unnecessary like eventually youll know how to put words to gether like crisis i think its like the kanji for danger and the kanji for oppertunity put together. any help would be appreciated thanks.
Goals:
1) Have decent proficiency in Japanese, enough to get around/talk/read/write.
2) Visit Japan for a week or so one summer.

Many jukugo make logical sense, but not all by a long shot.
I'd suggest just learning each kanji individually until you have several mastered. It's hard to try and learn the combinations if they include kanji you haven't studied yet.
Read over the jukugo examples to help you get a feel for words that the kanji you are studying is used in, but don't worry about memorizing them just yet.
