Explaining something to another

Postby Teh_Freak » Mon 02.12.2007 9:34 am

I was browsing some message boards I frequent, and noticed someone using some Japanese. Well, since we've been using it a lot on that topic, I thought I'd go ahead and tell her that she has some errors, that she uses 'は' quite a bit, but the general message is still understood.

I came up with this:

誤りを認めます。でも、メッセージが分っている。あなたが「は」と言うのはたくさん用います。

The only problem I really have here is the third sentence, I think I might have gotten it right, but I thought I'd check here to be sure.

あなたは「は」をよく使います。

I think sounds better.

Your 助詞 needed to be は rather than が in your original sentence.

XD
Wow, that does sound a whole lot better, also much quicker to say as well.
Thanks for that! I shall now go off to expand my vocabulary.

One other thing: 誤りを認めます means "(I) recognise/accept there was a mistake."
it sounds like you're talking about your own error, rather than someone elses
