Argh! You reminded me of the food/sports girl! :@
I wonder when the results are going to come here. Well, I'll just keep on waiting.

Well, Tanuki, be sure to let us know.
As Coco wrote, we will be going for 3kyuu this year, and I don't think the listening can be worse than it was, though I was kind of very lucky (but it was mostly luck, and that girl and her friends does remind me just that) and I still dread the audio part more than the rest!
ココさん、三級のあいずちも学ばなければなりませんね!and many other things.

For the record, Harisenbon did pass 1級 (kicked its ass, I might add). Four of us took 1級 together, and only three of us passed (I barely passed).
I know who didn't pass...can I get a prize for guessing right?
Hey Franz. Didn't expect to see you here.
I was wondering how someone knew my score. I was afraid I had another stalker.
And no, you don't get a prize for guessing right.

Congrats to everyone that passed.
I'll hope italian mail system will not lose the mail as it always does.

Since that's the case, Harisenbon-san, おめでとうございます!!! Are you going to try the 漢字検定 next, or are you done with exams?
About 2 weeks left until the results come! The anxiousness grows.

I'm going to take the JLPT this year to try and up my score (just for kicks) and then also start trying for the JETRO test. I probably won't do the 漢字検定 because my kanji writing skills are so wretched.
Good luck! I hope you pass!

RE: JLPT Results
.....well I'm still waiting (not so patiently!)
Has anyone who sat JLPT in an overseas location got their results yet?
Anyone in Australia? anyone in Melbourne?...
Can't do much about it I guess, just have to keep on waiting and wondering

In France, which is not significantly closer than Australia to Japan, we received them (they were sent on Feb 15th). But it depends on the diligence of the "host" or local organization... and reliability of local mail.
So, patience, my friend!

Harisenbon: Doing the Kanji Kentei is a great way to improve your handwriting skills. Mine were terrible, so I started studying with level 8 books, and worked my way up to level 5 -- then I took 5, 4, and 3. Now I think I'm actually pretty good at handwriting kanji. I had to leave Japan before I could get to 2; maybe next time.

I have thought about doing it for just that reason, but the amount of time I have to practice writing kanji is much more limited than the time I have to practice speaking or reading (both of which I can do at work without looking like I'm wasting time).
I did pick up the kanjikentei game for the DS, and have been slogging through that. It's really pathetic, because while I can do fairly well on the reading/stroke order my kanji writing is still at the 7級 level.
I studied 習字 for a year when I first got here, and my handwriting improved incredibly but I've since stopped and my hand writing returned to it's normal illegibility (much like my english handwriting)

Finally received my 4kyuu result! I got 100/56/180 = 336
聽解 really pulls down my marks, and I need to strengthen my grammer.

Edit: I’ll be away for about a month. If anyone is organizing 三級団, please count me in. Thanks.

Well it is the end of February and still no results....
and unfortunately (as you may have noticed) patience is not one of my virtues!
