Hello all
初めまして みなさん。
Thought I should introduce myself, since I imagine I'll be lurking in the "grammar help" forum quite a lot.
My name is Emma and I'm from Hawaii. I started studying Japanese about a month ago, in part because I've always wanted to learn the language, but largely because I read "Kitchen" by Banana Yoshimoto and I loved her writing style so much that I wanted to read more of her works. I took Japanese for a semester, so I know how to say very, very simple sentences properly and politely but would be in the deepest and direst of straits if I was dropped in the middle of a Japan and there were no semi-fluent English speakers around.
Well, that's about it. Please, please, plesae correct my sure-to-be incorrect Japanese.
どうぞよろしくお願いします。
