Help with Basic Sentence
おはようございます。
てつだってください! This seems like such a basic sentence and I'm having trouble with it.
"Kyouko's father comes home late everyday."
This is what I have but... for some reason it's not computing "This is right" or "This is wrong" in my brain.
毎日、京子さんのお父さんはおそいに帰ります。

Thank you.
Another question...
Why does おそい become おそく without a particle between it and 帰ってきます?

RE: Help with Basic Sentence
I have another question about a quick sentence but I didn't want to start another thread.. so here it is.
I am trying to say "There are thousands of students at my college." (In response to the question: あなたの大学に学生が何人いますか。
I have: 私の大学に学生がたくさん千人います。
I know it sounds wrong but I'm not sure how to fix it...
*Side note: This is an exercise practice in the -nin counter.

RE: Help with Basic Sentence
何千 is many thousands~
By the way, a site which it sounds like you would get good use from, is
http://www.alc.co.jp/
Put in little snippet's (in English or in Japanese) and see what comes up - it can be very helpful. For example if you had put in "thousands" you would have got a few pages of example sentence's using "thousands" in different ways.
