Audio Lessons like Pimsleur
Is anyone aware of anything that isn't simply phrases/words being repeated in both languages? I have a ton of them already and I don't find them helpful at all. I'm looking for something I can listen to when walking, but something that makes me think. Not just "this is the japanese, this is the english".
I find that with those dull repetition ones, I learn maybe 1 word after about 6 listens. I know I'm not using them the 'best' way (I think the best way is to focus on the first 3 or 4 words/phrases until you're sure of them, and then move on to the next set) but on my walk I don't have the patience to continually click on the buttons and restart the cd (plus it's awkward because I keep my cd player in my pocket).
On a slight side note, when I listened to my first disc of the repetition type, I noticed they chose some very interesting phrases. Including "she is very wet" and "you have loved many people". Who the hell chooses these? And why are they considered important enough to learn?
</end rant>
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
