Actually...now that I think about it the very first anime I ever saw was a Japanese interpretation of The Little Mermaid. (And no, it wasn't based off the horrible sickly sweet happy ending Disney story either. This was the real "she-turns-into-seafoam-at-the-end" deal) I think I was around 4 when I first saw it.

my first anime was SailorMoon. I remembering watching it when I was in Japan, around 1992-1993 when it first came out. Still love it til this day. I used to be a SailorMoon junkie, I knew everything there was to know about it lol

Guess it's appropriate this is my first post on the site.

I'm not sure if my first anime was Speed Racer (in reruns), Transformers, Voltron, or something else, as a kid. I'm a con-going SF fan, so I've seen other things over the years in con video rooms. Akira, Ranma, etc.

However, anime that got me interested as an adult was Ruruoni Kenshin and Fullmetal Alchemist, which I managed to discover within a few weeks of each other.

when i was 9 years old, i wanted to see some anime too, then i bought an urotsukidoji from an unknow man. Then it was exciting in start, a boy was wanking when he was spying girls dressing in dressing room. It was exciting, then the girls physical education teacher started to seduce the girls, and then BOOM! The teacher transformed into a tentacle monster and the end was bombing the poor schoolgirls into pieces. It was an experience from the borderline of beauty and horror

The first show I watched was a Sailor Moon episode, but Drragon Ball Z came on after it and I got hooked (Ah, the old days of Toonami).
