RE: Grammar point example sentences
In my Kodansha's furigana japanese dictionary:
真っ赤 ー な deep red, bright red, very red
先生は怒って真っ赤になったよ。
真っ赤な帽子が欲しいよ。
I think it fits the apple example, but then again, what do I know of real usage japanese...

東京に住むのはともて高いです
A little typo
Two muffins were baking in an oven. One turns to the other and says "sure is hot in here." The other replies "AH TALKING MUFFIN!"
二つのマフィンがオーブンで焼かれていた。片方のマフィンがもう一方のマフィンに向かって、"暑いね”と言った。すると、話しかけられたほうのマフィンは"アッ!喋るマフィンだ!”と驚いた。 :)

RE: Grammar point example sentences
Ok, well, I guess I'll figure it out.
I feel like I just learned something right there. Now that you've shown it to me, I want to say that I know it. However, it's probably a lot more complicated than it seems, huh?

Well, that usage of relative clauses is fairly simple (i.e. "Doing X is described by the adjective Y"). But there's a lot more to it than that, unfortunately.
(And yes, that should have been とても rather than ともて)

Yes, I know I double-posted, but otherwise, it would not be noticed.
There is/are
3 example for inanimate objects, 3 for living things
俺の猫は家にいます。
熊のプーさんは木の下にいます。
学生は学校にいます。
あなたの手紙は机の上あります。
私の新しい絵は中にあります。
あなたのみそ汁は台所にいます。
So, just let me know...(kinda tired...There's not a tired smiley, is there?)

あなたのみそ汁は台所にあります (miso soup is an inanimate object)
私の新しい絵は中にあります sounds a bit weird to me. The picture is inside what?

俺 and います is a style conflict; "ore" is a rough word (which I personally avoid using completely because I've never really been able to figure out when it's acceptable) and "imasu" is polite.
NO already corrected some sentences, the rest are fine.

If you assume previous context (i.e. talking about a box, or a book, or whatever) it's a perfectly normal sentence.

Okay, oops, oops, and 絵は家の中にあります。
...Yes, Yudan, that 俺 and ~ます creates a conflict of style makes sense. I should have known.
I should check myself before posting and will try to do so from now on.
Let me say that I do not understand the difference between なぜ and どうして。
Why/Because
Write 3 sentence pairs.
1.) なぜあのテストを落ちたか。
なぜなら勉強しない。
2.) どうして肉はとてもおいしいですか。
なぜなら健康に良いです。
3.) どうして彼女と結婚しますか。
なぜなら愛しますよ。
Also, I don't know the difference between the different words for love.
Once again, thanks for the help!

You should never worry about making mistakes. If you are trying to learn a language and not making any mistakes, then you are doing something wrong.
Let me say that I do not understand the difference between なぜ and どうして。
なぜ is slightly more casual. That's all.
Write 3 sentence pairs.
1.) なぜあのテストを落ちたか。
なぜなら勉強しない。[/quote]
Do not use なざなら; it's a very unnatural translation of "because" from English that is rarely used in Japanese speech. To provide a reason, two structures are useful -- のだ (or んだ) and から.
So you could say:
勉強しなかったんだ
or
勉強しなかったから(だ)
Also, when you put か after a plain form like that, it makes it into a rhetorical question. This is actually a good time for a rhetorical question ("Damn it, why did I fail that test?") but then it shouldn't be answered.

どうして has always felt more casual to me than なぜ, but that's just my impression..

Blame Clay for that. Also, what is ta with the little circle?
I guess it turns out that Clay's lessons aren't quite complete? They do seem that they are aimed at the very beginner, which was useful to me at first, but looking back, I find that there seems to be a lot of missing or not quite accurate information.
So, if I want to ask a question, I have to say, "あのテストを落ちましたか"? Otherwise it's rhetorical...Neat.

RE: Grammar point example sentences
You can say なんであのテストを落ちた? (Rising tone to indicate a question) Or なんであのテストを落ちたのか? if male, or なんであのテストを落ちたの? if female. I don't think any of those have the confrontational aspect of なんであのテストを落ちたか has, when addressed to another.

RE: Grammar point example sentences
I'm back! I just took a break.
So, could anyone explain a little to me about the use of 〜のだ(or んだ) and から
I suppose that のだ and んだ are the same, but can you explain what they really mean? Also, doesn't から also mean "from"?
That makes sense because then you would be saying something like, "That result came from this cause."
In addition, I think I like なんで〜. It means "how" right? Literally, "by way of what?"
What's the difference between using なんで、 なぜ、 and どうして?
Thank you for your time and help.
