I'm doing my senior project on learning Japanese and I need a mentor. If any of you are willing or can give any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

I think you should give a little more detail. "Learning Japanese"? I gather you're not trying to learn Japanese yourself or that would be one heck of a senior project. So what are you trying to do?
