TsukimiyaAyu
Yudan Taiteki
--
Yudan Taiteki
That's being generous. It's true that among some people, particularly males, "omae" can be used as a familiar you. But this is a usage among friends. I think this is similar to how in English, I might be able to call my friend "bastard" or even "fucker" as a term of familiarity or endearment, but if I say that to a stranger I'm risking a beatdown. "omae" is similar to that.

urusai kisama

Oh yeah, and I'm not apologizing, ahou!

TsukimiyaAyu, that's not how it works around here. Have some friggin' manners.

Do you think insulting in Japanese is more accepted or something? Idiot.

Hey! How about a page "How not to sound like an anime character" or something? That'd be cool, and I'm sure some people here could write it in a humorous way.

I recognize the dirty little anime fanboys right off the bat with some naruto grammar and shonen jump vocab.

Gives anime fans a bad name. -_-;;

I think we should all model our Japanese on how Coco-san speaks (types). It's really friendly and polite.

And btw, to the OP, kisama is even worse than omae...
Two muffins were baking in an oven. One turns to the other and says "sure is hot in here." The other replies "AH TALKING MUFFIN!"

TsukimiyaAyu,

you have to realize that Japanese is a language based off of politeness and saying the wrong thing to the wrong person might get you beaten up.

Would you evern go up to a black person and say 'What's up n*gger?"
Or to a gay person and say "Hi faggot"
Or a woman and say "hey slut..."
you get the point.

These things are offensive to the person being spoken to and you might find yourself in some pain. Same thing if you are talking to a Japanese person you hardly know and call them kisama, omae, teemee or whatever. Knowing a lot of a certain language but not knowing how to use it properly is pointless.

What's the point of acting like an uneducated asshat, insulting people, and then calling a joke. I think you are the one that needs to lighten up and probably smarten up, before you try to be more respectful to people that don't enjoy taking your crap as a joke.

more like I was just responding to your comments, but okay.
