Pirates 3 song!
MUAHAHA! I looked EVERYWHERE for this song and I finally found it!!! BOW DOWN BEFORE ME!! *bows before self* hehe okay... here's lyrics and where you can hear the actual song:
The king and his men
stole the queen from her bed
and bound her in her bones
The seas be ours and by the powers
Where we will well roam
Yo, ho, haul together
hoist the colors high
heave ho, thieves and beggars
never say we die
Some men have died and some are alive
And others sail on the sea
with He keys to the cage
and the Devil to pay we lay to Fiddler's Green
The bell has been raised
from it's watery grave
do you hear it's sepulchral tone
We are a call to all, pay head the squall
and turn your sail toward home

Apparently not everywhere... I saw that it was published in a book called The Pirate's Code.

These days we're just happy to find youths who have ever heard of "books" at all.
Never underestimate my capacity for pettiness.

Every now and then, I walk into a house and I don't see a single book. Nothing on the coffee table, no book shelves (the shelves have knicknacks), no books on the end tables, no books ANYWHERE in sight.
Weirds me out something fierce.

Wow, homes without a single book; that's a bit creepy...
Anyway, I think part of the problem regarding the lack of reading these days has to do with the way it's forced onto people. I remember being forced to read things I had absolutely no interest in when I was in middle school, that quickly got me tired of reading; only recently have I 'rediscovered' the joy of sitting back and reading a book.

My bookshelves are in the basement. I do show off my guns when you walk in, does that count? I also showcase the miniatures that I paint. It might not be as fancy as an antique bookcase full of dusty tomes, but the colors are exquisite.
here is some of my work..

Hmmmm... We'll have to talk. I have a pile of medievals....
Just out of curiosity, what medium do you use, and do you apply a sealer/protective coat of some sort when you're done?

I mainly use acrylics. water based colors of course. I usually use a matte finish or a satin finish when I am done as a sealer.. Of course, I can use whatever is required.
Depending on style etc some things are easier than others.. I will pm you with contact information and of course you are welcome to look at my work in person and I can even paint something up for you as a test and you can see if it is up to your level of acceptance.
