my name is equivalent to

i dont know how to write this in japanese character since my keyboard was in english , so this is just a romaji equivalent

My name in hiragana: あにかりき. Pretty cute. And in katakana アニカリキ. Not as cute, but it's a name.

I am somewhat dismayed that a thread titled "say your name in hiragana" has made it to 8 pages with numerous seemingly serious responses.

Yeah, I know. But sometimes you just have to drop your head, shake it sadly, wipe away the tears, and just plod on. That's pretty much what we're doing.

Note: This is *transliterating* your name, not *translating* your name.
