RE: Verb Conjugtion question and word order
the only word order that matters in japanese is that a verb comes at the end of the sentence. in fact, in japanese, a complete sentence can be nothing more than a verb. i've said it before, but i'll say it again. i recommend tae kim's http://www.guidetojapanese.org/ for tackling the basics of japanese grammar.
