Apology X Japan-UK Schools X Bento X NO OTAKU!

Hiy! Um, I realise I havent been on for like, a miilllllllion years, but I have been busy! It's been exam week at school and everyone was stressed and that.
And our school is taking us on a trip! Oh yea! To celebrate the end of the school year, our year (4th yr) is being taken to Portrush, which is infamous for bad weather, good surfing tho! Yea, so that'll be fun!
I've also come to realise that I am definately not what they would call "Otaku" in fact I would be offended if someone called me that as I have no interest in Manga or indeed Anime, EXCEPT Fruits Basket =D but it was a one season show. And I dont use Japanese in english conversation... that's just a bit over-the-top.
I've also found a site which sells Japanese magazines, in the >>>UK!<<< See, I've been busy! I've also watched Kamikaze Girls and thingy, um, NaNa! They were both brilliant!
Anyway, I've come to realise that there are quite a few similarities between my school and Japanese schools, except where Japanese schools are self-sufficient, things are done for us, like when we're finished eating, the attendants take away our plates and wipe our tables down.
Don't ask, we don't know.
But thingy, our school uniforms are quite similar! My school has a blue blazer and gold logo, we have to wear white blouses, blue X lightblue X gold ties, pleated skirts, but theyre plain grey (way-hay! T_T;) Then we wear plain school shoes and tights. I hate tights.
Its so funny cause the girls in the year below us (3rd yr / juniors) all wear tights with their straight skirts cause they all wear black pumps and we're like "Wear the slouch socks and normal shoes - no one WANTS to wear tights in Summer!!!"
But because we're seniors, we have to - through we've asked for a change of uniform for summer term.
Japanese school uniforms are very similar to ours, but unfortunately we have connections with China, not Japan (darn!) I was going to go to China in Easter next yr, but Im not anymore because I'm going to Sardinia instead. XP
